As a physician in Europe, Dr. Helena Stefan became dissatisfied with conventional medicine’s focus on suppressing the symptoms, rather than treating causes, of illness. Upon incorporating acupuncture and natural medicine into her practice, Dr. Stefan found that she was able to address the causes of illness and achieve greater success in treating her patients. Dr. Stefan received her M.D. in Europe and is a licensed acupuncturist. While practicing as doctor in Europe, she participated in a seven-year acupuncture and natural medicine apprenticeship taught by acupuncturists from Beijing, China. She completed three years of Master’s-level acupuncture training in England and the United States and received her Master’s degree in acupuncture in the U.S. in 1993. Dr. Stefan is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality care and continues to receive advanced-level training in acupuncture, homeopathy, herbology and nutrition.
